Your next customer is asking ChatGPT who to call. We're a small team of real people who know AI and computers inside and out, and our first job is making sure the answer is you. After that, we help you put AI to work everywhere else in the business, and we stick around every week while it keeps changing.

More of your customers every month are asking ChatGPT, Google's AI, or Siri who they should hire, and the AI answers with two or three names. If you're not one of them, that customer never finds out you exist. Getting on that list is a different job than the old search engine game, and it's the first thing we do with most new partners.
The industry calls it AEO, answer engine optimization. We just call it getting found.
You already know AI matters. You've probably tried ChatGPT and found it useful, and maybe a competitor has started talking about it. What's been missing is someone who knows your business, actually follows what's happening in AI, and can tell you which two or three things are worth your attention this month.
That's what we do. We're not trying to sell you a piece of software. We keep up with what's out there, work out where it fits in how you already run things, and we stick around, because it's going to change again in six months.
These are the questions owners ask us most. Each one is a real part of getting AI working in a business, and each is something we'll set up for you, run for you, and explain in plain English.
Try it. Ask ChatGPT for someone in your trade in your town and see who it names. That list is the new front page. We rewrite your site so the AI can read it, fix the listings it pulls from, and check on it every month.
A skill is basically a written playbook the AI follows, like how you price a fence or how you follow up on a bid that's gone quiet. We sit down and write them with you, in your words, and keep them current as things change.
It can be, if it's set up carefully. Everyone on your team gets one login with the access their job needs and nothing more, and the AI is held to the same rule. It reads before it's allowed to change anything, it asks before it sends, and everything it does is written down where you can see it.
On machines we run for you, not on somebody's laptop in the office. We back them up, keep them updated, and keep an eye on them. If something breaks at two in the morning, we're the ones who get woken up.
Usually, and faster than you'd think. The customer portal, the booking page, a calculator that prices a job. A lot of that is a day or two of work now with AI. When it's bigger than that, our engineers build it with you.
If your question isn't on here, ask anyway. This list changes about as fast as AI does.
You don't need another newsletter about AI. What helps is having someone in your business every week who takes what's new and turns it into something your crew will actually use.
We sit down with you and learn how the work actually happens: where the jobs come from, where the time goes, what keeps falling through the cracks. Then we pick the first couple of wins together.
Logins, guardrails, tools, and whatever AI fits the job. You say yes or no to each permission and we handle the wiring.
If your team can send a text, they can use this. We show everyone how to ask for what they need and stay close until it's a habit.
We go over what worked and what didn't, fix what's off, and bring you the one thing that changed in AI this week and what it means for you. Then we go after the next win.
This covers your Layups person, the weekly check-in, the training, the tools we wire up, the hosting, and everything else we set up and keep running for you. It comes in three sizes, depending on how much of your business we're running.
On top of that there's your AI spend, which only goes up with what you actually use: how much AI you run, how many people are on it, what we're hosting, and how far back we keep your history. We work out the right size together on the first call, and it all lands on one monthly bid where you can see every line.
Some ideas don't fit in a plan. An estimating system built around the way you actually bid. The customer portal people keep asking you for. Two pieces of software that refuse to talk to each other. For those, our engineers come work inside your business and build it with you, start to finish.
This is the expensive option, and it's usually the one that ends up changing how a business runs.
Most people start on a plan. Custom work comes later, when there's something worth building, and we'll tell you honestly when we think there is.
We've spent years deep in AI and computers, and we're the kind of people who read the release notes for fun. Working with us doesn't feel like that, though. It feels like having a friend who happens to be an expert. You text, you call, somebody shows up, and they explain things in a way that makes sense.
The tools get cheaper every month, and pretty soon everybody will have the same ones. What most businesses still won't have is a person who knows how their work happens, keeps up with all of this, and picks up the phone when something's off. That's the part we built the company around.
Meet Layups People →That's a decision about the next decade, not this quarter, and you shouldn't have to become a tech company to make it. We're built to be there the whole way.
