The role
This role combines sales, relationship management, onboarding, client training, and customer enablement. Clients need training, communication, updates, practical guidance, and a steady partner who can help them move forward on their AI journey.
Layups AI works around a simple trio model: sales, customer success, and implementation. This role sits across the sales and customer success side of that trio.
- Build relationships with small and midsize business owners, operators, and department leaders across northern Utah.
- Prospect through referrals, local networks, direct outreach, events, and warm industry relationships.
- Run consultative sales conversations that uncover business pain, workflow gaps, and opportunities for AI support.
- Explain AI agents in plain English to people who may be curious, skeptical, busy, or brand new to the category.
- Coordinate with the Layups AI team to shape simple demos, proposals, and launch plans for serious prospects.
- Help close new customers and identify expansion opportunities inside existing accounts.
- Support early customer onboarding, including agent setup, use-case discovery, workflow coaching, and adoption follow-up.
- Monitor customer usage and feedback, then help turn that feedback into better training, better workflows, and stronger retention.
